Hello all Aquacowboys Families, here is a short update with some important information about what is coming up in the next few months, as well as some information about meets next season.

Thanks to LAC BOD for your great work in setting up the parents meeting this evening.  Thanks also to Cindy Eckel who has been doing such a wonderful job getting the kids in the paper and getting the Aquacowboy logo out in the community with those awesome magnets.  If you would like a magnet, please contact Cindy!

Here are some important pieces of information as we head into tonight’s parent meeting:

Parent Meeting:  Today, 7pm.  Please be sure to attend.  It is crucial for the health of our team to hear your input and to talk about how we can make Aquacowboys great.  Coach Leslie will not be in attendace as she is in Los Angeles with her mother, but Coach Lisa, Coach Theresa and Coach Alex will be there.  I look forward to seeing you all there.

EBALs:  Friday 1:30 pm start, Saturday 8:30 am start.  If you’re curious about where your child’s swimming may lead, check out this meet, one of the fastest high school leagues in the country.  You will see our swimmers representing JV and Varsity, and getting many best times.

LAC/TRIV dual meet:  This meet will take place on Thursday the 31st of May.  Warm ups start at 3:45 and the meet will start at 4:30.  Fireball swimmers may not compete because it is a USA Swimming sanctioned meet, but they are encouraged to attend and support their team.  There will be a potluck table at meet, so please bring a food item to share.  Cost for the meet is $10 made out to LAC.  Sign ups will be done through the website and each swimmer will compete in 3 events.  Please do not sign up for the 500 fr until speaking with your coach about it.

All Team Starts and Turns Clinic:  This Clinic will take place Friday the 1st of June from 3:45-5pm.  All LAC swimmers will be participating.  Coaches and Senior Swimmers will demonstate the fundamentals of great starts and turns.

Joni & Friends:  We will have an opportunity to serve at a camp for disabled youth in June.  The camp is in Santa Cruz, and we are looking for 10-15 kids ages 12 and older to participate.  More information will be forthcoming.  Please contact coach Alex if interested.

Stanford Swim Camp:  Jared Brandley will be attending the Stanford Swim Camp this July.  He is looking for a male LAC roommate for the camp.  If anyone is interested, please speak with Jared at the pool or contact his mother Kelly at [email protected]

Meet Schedule through December:  Here is the meet schedule through December of 2012.  The meets will be posted on our website shortly.  If there is a meet that you would like to go to that our team is not going to, please feel free to go to that one as well, knowing that LAC coaches will not be there.  There are four opportunities for CBA swimmers to qualify for JO’s before the 14&un JO meet, and there is also a Senior level meet for Senior level swimmers only.
