New Coach for September

Dear Hurricanes Member,

We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in recruiting an additional senior level coach for the swim team in the 2012-13 season.  The Hurricanes have enjoyed remarkable success and significant growth over the past several years, and by adding additional coaching staff, we are continually striving to provide top level leadership in order to maximize the performance of our young athletes while Jeff Grace is transitioning back into the program.

CJ Brant is an NCCP Level 3 coach, coming to us from the Canadian Dolphins.  He was the Head Coach at Chena as well as with the Vancouver Pacific Swim Club, both for approximately five years each.  He is a graduate of the National Coaching Institute and helped swimmers break dozens of Provincial records and hundreds of Club records.  Some of his notable accomplishments are bringing swimmers to International Games (Pan Ams, FISU, Pan Pac and World Championships), moving the Chena Swim Club from 23rd in the Province into the top 3, and generating a top 5 placement at Nationals with his Women’s team.  He is also a graduate of the Western Academy of Photography and is one of the staff photographers for Swim News Magazine.

We welcome CJ in September of 2012, and are very excited for you to meet him!  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Joanna Weiler| Hollyburn Country Club
