A total of 8 team records we broken during the Eastern Zone Sectional Meet at Harvard. Eva Fabian broke two girls 15 and over records. In the 1000 Yard Freestyle her time of 9:59.14 eclipsed the mark of 10:00.09 set by Lindsey Wolf in 1998 and in the 1650 Yard Freestyle (16:36.72) she dropped almost 20 seconds from the previous record set by K. Foley in 2005.
Mike Pryor also continued to add to his collection of team records. He re-broke 4 of his own records 500 Free (4:27.08), 1000 Free (9:19.00), 1650 Free (15:30.48) and 400 IM (3:55.92). He also snatched a record from his older brother Vinny Pryor in the 200 IM (1:53.17 from a 1:53.66).
We would also like to recognize Nate Hosking for making a NISCA Junior National qualifying standard in the mile. His time of 16:07.09 put him in 15 place at sectionals. Congratulations to these swimmers and all that attended this year’s Short Course Sectional Meet!
