Tyler Clary raced to a Gold Medal in the Men’s 200-meter Backstroke tonight at the Olympic Games! Clary was in a tight race with Japan’s Ryosuke Irie and USA teammate Ryan Lochte, but came out on top. Clary touched first setting a new Olympic Record with his time of 1:53.41. Irie took the Silver in 1:53.78, and Lochte earned Bronze in 1:53.94. This is the first Olympic medal for Clary. Listen to Tyler talk about his first Olympic medal on the Today Show here.
