LAC update

Greetings LAC families, this is a quick note to let people know about some of the upcoming events for our team and to clarify some details for groups:

There will be no Saturday practice this week.  Normal Saturday practice schedule 8-10 am in water, will begin next week on the 15th for those swimmers not competing in the Del Valle Open Water Swim.

The information for the Del Valle Open Water Relays is now posted on www.pacswim.org  This event is a relay where each swimmer completes 1 mile.  The event costs $70 per team ($35 per swimmer)  if you register online.  US Masters Parents can swim with their children on a team if they are both registered with Masters or USA Swimming.  This is a great team building event.  We would like to have as many people participate as possible!  Remember, Open Water Swimming is now an Olympic Event!

Our first meet is the AIA Octoberfest for all non-Senior Swimmers, and the Marin Pirates Senior meet for Senior Swimmers. This meet takes place Oct 6-7.  Meets are available to sign up for now.  We would like all LAC swimmers to participate.

Our second meet is the Santa Cruz County Aquatics High Point Meet, Oct. 20-21.  This is a special team building meet because swimmers of all ages will compete.  We encourage you to make a family trip out of it and visit the Boardwalk after the meet on Saturday.
