Desert Thunder opened the short course season with a strong showing in both divisions of Fall Festival #1, hosted by the Marlins at the Phoenix Country Day School. The turn out of swimmers was strong with 51 swimmers attending the meet. It was a healthy mix of swimmers just getting their first taste of USA Swimming competition and veterans leading the way.
