Gillcrist Makes Her College Decision

The Clippers are extremely proud to announce that Hanna Gillcrist has made her verbal commitment to swim next year in college. Hanna will join a growing list of Clippers that have decided to attend a military academy. So who will she join since the Clippers now have one swimmer at each of the academies? Hanna will join Sarah Truskot at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Hanna was also recruited by many other division 1 schools including the University of Indiana, University of Houston.

Approximately 2,000 candidates are found fully qualified (scholastic, medical, CFA, and have obtained a nomination) each year. Of that number, about 1,500 will receive appointments and approximately 1,200 become midshipmen. Could you imagine if every college had these types of requirements!!!

Hanna will be joining former Clipper, Sarah Truskot, representing the Navy as a member of the swim team. Navy is a Division 1 program that competes in the Patriot League.
