Marin Pirates Win Zone 3 Championships

For the 12th time in the last 16 years, the Marin Pirates Swim Team won the Zone 3 Championship swim meet held in Vallejo the weekend of Oct. 19-21st. The meet is host to all USA Swimming teams from San Francisco to the Oregon Border.  The Pirates took first place with 1653 points while North Bay Aquatics finished 2ndwith 1215.5 points, and San Francisco Rossi finished 3rdwith 910 points.

The Pirates, with 70 swimmers competing, totaled over 200 personal best times, and 2 new team records in the Boys 9-10 200 Free Relay and Cali Raukar in the girls 13-14 1000 Free.

Multiple event winners included:

15-16 Boy Kenneth Castro Abrams- 200 Free, 1000 Free, 100 Back, 200 Back, 200 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Fly

13-14 Girl Cali Raukar- 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, 1000 Free, 100 Back

13-14 Boy Griffin Burke-200 Free, 500 Free, 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 Back

15-16 Girl Riley Scott- 1000 Free, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 400 IM

15-16 Girl Madeleine Salesky- 50 Free, 100 Free

11-12 Girl Jamie Thomas- 50 Back, 50 Fly, 200 IM

13-14 Girl Mia Cunnan- 200 Back, 200 IM

9-10 Boy Zach McIntyre- 50 Free, 100 IM
