The OnDeck application allows coaches to contact you and your swimmers via text messages, and this is a great way to send out time critical updates, such as emergency pool closures or warm-up / start time changes at swim meets. This only works if you and or your swimmer add their cell phone number to your swimmer's information page, and then your swimmer verifies their cell phone number.
Please take a moment to enter your and or your swimmer's phone numbers into the web site if you would like us to be able to reach your swimmer. You go to "My Account > My Account" and then click on the "Add SMS" button to add your phone for the account. You go to "My Account > My Account" and then click on your swimmer's name(s) to open the page for editing your swimmer's information to add your or your swimmer's cell phone to their information. You or your swimmer will receive a message on your cell phones with the code to enter into the verification window.
It does appear that the SMS application will not use the phone number associated with the account when we select swimmers as the recipient, so please put your cell phone in your swimmer's information page if your swimmer doesn't have a phone, or you would prefer not to provide that information. Only admin users can see the cell phone numbers in other families accounts or swimmer records.
