Langley Invitational Recap

We saw some marked improvements across the board from most of the swimmers and it was good to see some breaking through to finals and in some cases the podium. I was generally pleased with how the athletes were going after most of their races. I like to teach the athletes to "push the pace" and put themselves in position to have a good race. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves on how fast we can go when we are leading after the first 25m. I also noticed the swimmers starting to expect more out of themselves. I can see that many are starting to believe that they can achieve some of these faster times that I have been saying to them. We saw big drops from a lot of swimmers across most events. Congratulations goes out to Colby Evans for getting his Western National Time standard in the 400IM. Other notable swims include Aiden Smith making his first final swims in the 50free and 200IM and John Hollands making finals for all his events.
