In what turned out to be a hotly contested contest, even when the score doesn’t show up to be that way, Canada had to employ as a team for the whole game to beat a very physical Argentina team by the score 11-3. Canada took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter with goals scored from the perimeter and extra man situation. In the second quarter, Canada was able to score from the perimeter twice, taking a 4-1 lead into the half.

For the third quarter, Canada’s counter attack and inside play was too much for Argentina. 2 goals from Nicolas Constantin (#4) and two counter attack goals proved to be a big boost for Canada, who increased their lead 8-2 going to the fourth quarter. This last quarter saw the same Canada team as in the previous quarter, scoring from inside water, from the whole and on a penalty shot. Argentina’s top scorer was Ivan Carabantes (#9) with two goals. Jared Mcelroy was the top scorer for Canada with 4 goals

For tomorrow’s games, Canada will play Brazil and Argentina will go against United States.

After a very hard fought game the day before, USA came out clicking on all cylinders from the start of the game. It was a very different USA team, playing a very aggressive game both on offense and defense. USA jumped to a 5-1 lead in the first quarter. During the second quarter USA increased their lead

For the third quarter, USA kept the defensive pressure and played strong but conservative in the offensive side of the ball. Brazil just couldn’t handle the defensive pressure by the USA team. The quarter ended with a commanding ten goal lead for USA. The fourth quarter was more of the same for both teams, having USA playing a very strong defensive scheme, mostly drop back, and Brazil not been able to muster any consistent offensive attack. The top scorer for the USA team was Nikola Vavic (#3) with 4 goals. Brazil was led by Emilio Vieira (#2) and Rudo Franco (#10) with 1 goal apiece.

For tomorrow’s games, Canada will play Brazil and Argentina will go against United States.
