February 1, 2013
Parents, I wanted to share some information for you about the meet tomorrow. The forecast is calling for snow starting tonight, and continuing throughtout the day tomorrow. In all likelihood, the meet WILL NOT get cancelled. Typically, USA Swimming meets will go off on schedule, regardless of the weather. That being said, keeping our parents and swimmer safe is the most important thing. So, please use your best judgment in deciding whether or not it is safe enough to travel to the meet.
In the event the meet is delayed or cancelled, the first place you will find out about it is on the Cincinnati Marlins website. I would encourage you to check the website before leaving for Keating Natorium.
Lastly, remember when traveling in snowy conditions to allow extra distance for braking and that 4 wheel drive doesn't mean 4 wheel stop! Below is what WCPO is forecasting for this event. Also, if you know you are not going to make it to the meet, please let your Lead Coach know via email or their cellphone.
