AAAs day 1&2
AAAs Day 1 & 2 Great swims from Kisu swimmers at AAAs from the first two days of the meet in Victoria. The highlight of the first day was Acacia Benn's 800. Not only did she smash through her previous best time, but she made the AAA time standard in the 800 and unofficially in the 400. She also anchored the girls relay with another new AAA time in the 100 Free (unofficial). Acacia finished the day off with a dinner with four of Canada's Olympians. They had a great question and answer session, where we learned all kinds of details of the life of an Olympian (not as different as you would think from our normal lives, except for the "dozen egg" omelette and the two liters of chocolate milk). Day 2 brought in the full team (day 1 is just distance free events and a relay). We had many best times, but the highlights were in finals where Sam Lasinski swam three back to back finals (200 IM, 50 Free & 100 back). Sam went best times in all his events and brought home a silver medal in the 200IM and bronze in the 100 back. We are looking forward to a couple more exciting days.
