After 3 long days of swimming and 2 days of crazy cold and rainy weather, the sun came out on Sunday and the Dolphins finished off the 2013 SCY AG State meet with a bang!
We finished last night with our biggest group of finals swimmers with 8 swimmers there for finals relay, individual event or alternate.
For the weekend we had some amazing swims; we started off Thursday evening with Abbey, Carson and Brecken all in the 500 free, Brecken finished 12th overall. We also had Anderson, Brendan, Brian, Dakota and Julia all in the mile, Anderson finished 15th overall.
On Friday we had a full squad with the highlights being; Brecken finishing 8th in the 200 free and 16th in the 100 free, also Ethan finished 9th in the 200 free and 14th in the 100 back, Andrew Ross finished 10th in the 200 free and 16th in the 100 free and our 10 and under boys relay finished 7th on Friday and our 13-14 boys finished 16th.
ON Saturday the weather was still awful, but the swimming was still great! Our 10 and under girls finished the medley relay 12th and our 10 and under boys finished 9th, our 13-14 boys finished 15th in the medley and 12th in the free that day. The highlight of the day was Anthony 50 breaststroke earning a Far Western time and finishing 11th.
Sunday we finished off with some great swimming capped off by our 10 and under boys free relay finished 6th and 14th in the medley, the 10 and under girls finished 10th overall in the free relay, the 14-14 boys finished 15th in the free relay and 16th in the medley. Later that night in finals, Ethan finished 12th in the 50 free, JC finished 16, Brecken finished 11th in the 100 IM and Meredyth finished 10th in the 100 fly.
Overall for the meet the team finished 15th out of 39 possible teams.
