MARIN PIRATES SWIM TEAM EXCELS AT JUNIOR NATIONALS

 

Eleven team members (ages 15-17) traveled to Orlando, Florida March 12-16 for the Junior National Championships.

The girl's team finished 17th out of 255 teams with 75.5 points. The top 32 athletes in each event made finals. The Pirates had 15 swims in finals.

Riley Scott finished 3rd in the 200 yard breast (2:12.19), 5th in the 100 yard breast (1:02.4), 7th in the 50 yard breast (29.12) and 23rd in the 200 yard IM (2:03.82).

Cali Raukar finished 12th in the 200 yard free (1:48.81), 14th in the 50 yard back (26.01),  15th in the 100 yard back (54.97), 19th in the 100 yard free (50.77),

Megan Campbell finished 24th in the 50 yard fly (25.29)

The girl's 400 yard Medley Relay (Raukar, Scott, Campbell, Maddie Salesky) took 9th (3:44.06) and 15th in the 200 yard Medley Relay (Raukar, Scott, Campbell, Salesky; 1:44.06).

Kenneth Castro Abrams led the boys with 6 swims in finals: 23rd 200 yard back (1:49.0), 24th in the 50 yard back (23.77), 25th in the 100 yard back (50,24), 27th in the 50 yard fly (22.68), 31st in the 200 yard free (1:40.74) and 32 in the 200 IM (1:52.63).
