Huge Drops and Two Team Records at FAST Blue/Red Meet!

FAST swimmers posted 352 lifetime bests at last weekend's Blue/Red Meet in Fullerton.  Two FAST Team Records were broken:

  • 8 & Under 100-meter Backstroke: Kailee Chow -- 1:40.70 (Previous Record: Bree Anderson -- 1:51.60, April 2012)
  • 8 & Under 200-meter Freestyle: Skyler Kao -- 3:02.81 (Previous Record: Ethan Newberry -- 3:26.85, April 2012)
Thirty-three athletes turned in lifetime bests in all of their events: Jasmine Allen, Vanessa Buck, Alejandro Buendia, Elliot Cha, Nathan Chang, Jisun Chin, Samuel Cho, Kailee Chow, Christina D'Incognito, Taylor Garcia, Trevor Holtgrew, Leah Johnson, Lauren Kim, Robert Lee, Derek Lindenberger, Naina Makkad, Terence Ma, Natalie McIlveen, Tiffany Park, Oleksii Prikhodko, Lizbeth Ramirez, Cierra Robinson, Marc Rosete, Nate Sacayan, Brian Schrandt, Joshua Spessert, Jerad Spuur, Myles Tran, Emilee White, Kendall Wilson, and Aaron Yang.  Congratulations!
 
Jasmine Allen dropped over 10 seconds in the 100 Freestyle.  Ryan Cavanagh dropped an incredible one minute and 22 seconds in the 1500 Freestyle as well as almost 13 seconds in the 100 Butterfly, 10 seconds in the 400 Freestyle, and 20 seconds in the 200 IM.  Nathan Chang took off almost 10 seconds in the 400 Freestyle.  Jisun Chin dropped over 30 seconds in the 200 Freestyle.  Ryan Chung dropped over 7 seconds in the 50 Backstroke.  Gianna Cross dropped over 12 seconds in both the 100 Backstroke and 400 Freestyle.  Ethan Dickinson took off over 26 seconds in the 200 IM and almost 15 in the 800 Freestyle.  Christina D'Incognito chopped over 8 seconds off of her 200 Backstroke and over 7 from her 200 IM.  Makena Ditsworth dropped over 8 seconds from both the 100 Backstroke and 200 IM and an incredible 38 seconds from the 400 Freestyle.  Sophia Gaitatjis took off over 17 seconds in the 800 Freestyle.  Maddy Garcia dropped over 16 in the 200 IM.  Tyler Hong improved by almost 10 seconds in the 200 IM.  Meggie Keung chopped over 19 seconds off of her 800 Freestyle.  Lauren Kim had an outstanding drop in the 50 Backstroke taking off over 11 seconds.  David Konefsky improved his 400 Freestyle by over 28 seconds.  Maya Lee dropped almost 39 seconds in the 200 IM.  Jacqueline Lim took off over 20 seconds in the 50 Breaststroke.  Jade Lingasin dropped almost 28 seconds in the 200 IM.  Johanna Lingasin took off over 11 seconds in the 100 Backstroke.  Cera Mallory improved her 100 Freestyle by over 17 seconds and her 50 Backstroke by over 7 seconds.  Terence Ma dropped almost 13 seconds in the 400 Freestyle.  Jaden Nasu improved her 50 Backstroke by almost 14 seconds.  Mick Olson dropped over 8 seconds in the 100 Backstroke.  Bella Osuna dropped over 9 seconds in the 400 Freestyle.  Jared Spuur took 9 seconds off of his 100 Backstroke.  Jasmine Spuur dropped 8.5 seconds in the 200 Freestyle.  Courtney Tseng dropped over 18 seconds in the 400 IM.  Kendall Wilson improved her 800 Freestyle by 10 seconds.  Kenneth Yeh dropped over 9 seconds in the 50 Backstroke.
