Just read about a great set Olympian Chloe Sutton does from time to time to prepare her for the 800m freestyle. Try this and adjust the intervals accordingly...
32x100m on 1:20 done 8 rounds of:
3x100 holding 1:10-1:12
1x100 fast for time trying to go your goal pace time for your big race at the end of the season
If you've read previous blogs, you know I'm not a fan of long sets (and personally I'd probably take this down to 4 or 5 rounds), but this breaks it up a little with bursts of speed and a focus on your end-of-season goals that often gets lost in long sets.
