10 Hollyburn Hurricanes Race in Whistler's FIRST ever Development Meet with great results!

The Hollyburn Hurricanes competed in a Development Swim Meet hosted by the Whistler Sea Dogs June 16th - what a great experience! Once the swimmers figured out there were NO towels provided, that we had to do our warm up activation in the parking lot and that the pool, though it LOOKED different, was actually the same length as our pool, they had a fantastic meet.

The Sutherland family was representing with all 3 siblings swimming; Eduardo narrowly missed his LMR time, while both Antonio and Sophia cheered him on. All three swam amazing well!

Jake Lang and Rocco Vertone had awesome results for their 25m events - we've got a couple of future Olympians on our hand here!

The Amandas (both Haigh and Yang) took the oppertunity to swim their favorite race - the 100 IM, while Isabella Lawton-Giustra once again swam a very strong 200 IM in under 4:00. All three athleted looked stong and fast! Well done ladies!

Ruby Chen and Monique Kelly also had a great meet, swimming their way to success and best times. Excellent effort put forth by both of you!

A special "shout out" to Alex Haigh for his help as assistant coach during this event - great job Alex!

Thank you all for attending Whistler's First ever Development Meet, and thank you parents and families for your continued support of the Hollyburn Hurricanes Swim Team!
