From June 21-23rd three Hollyburn swimmers competed at the BC AA Provincial Championships in Victoria.
The team included Aiden Smith, April Barnes and Carly Kagna.
The swimmers achieved 92% best times at the meets.
This competition is the final chance for swimmers to qualify for the BC AAA Championships which will be held at UBC in a couple of weeks. We are proud to announce that both Aiden Smith and April Barnes both qualified for this meet, which is the highest level of age group swimming in the province.
Aiden qualified in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle as well as the 100 butterfly. He also won the 50 and 100 freestyle, came second in the 100 butterfly, third in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 100 backstroke.
April qualified in the 50 freestyle. She also won the 50 freestyle, was second in the 100 butterfly, fourth in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 100 freestyle.
Carly Kagna achieved 100 percent best times and finished third in the 100 backstroke.
