PWSL 2013 Week 7 Results - Divisionals

The pools were busy (10395 splashes) and fast today -- 11 League records were broken today in 9 different events and 135 Team records.  The league records started to fall early with both Sudley and Braemar's 8&U Mixed Medly Relays breaking the league record in event 1.  Then Sudley's Jamie Cornwell continued her record breaking season by setting the league record in the 8&U Free.  Event 15, Girls 11-12 Free, saw Savannah Nash set Dominion Valleys the first ever league record.  The next league record fell during Event 27, when Lake Manassas' Reni Moshos set the record in the Girls 15-18 IM only then to have Victory Lakes' Christine Souther top that time a few hours later.  Cornwell came back and set her second record of the day in the Girls 8&U Back.  Michael Rudd from Braemar took some more time off his 11-12 Breaststroke record in Event 42, and then moments later over at Victory Lakes' Christine Souther captured her second record of the day in the Girls 15-18 Breaststroke.  Sam Pomajevich (Sudley) knocked out the only Fly record in Boys 13-14 age group.  Sudley finished the record breaking day in Event 64 when their 13-14 Boys took the 200 Freestyle relay.

In addition to all of the records we had four Divisional championships decided by 62 points or less.  Piedmont battled back to beat Dominion Valley by 62 points in the Red Division.  Wellington Dolphins put on a late surge in the Yellow Division but was not able catch the Brookside Hurricane.  Brookside held on and took the championship by 61.5 points.  Ridgewood took the White Division winning by 55.5 over Ashland, and in the Blue Division Sudley took the honors over Braemar by just 21 points.
