Clippers Continued Success at Senior Meet and Sectionals

Both Meets have their own success stories

Erlanger— 08/06/13 This year the Ohio Senior Meet and the USA Sectionals overlapped one another making it impossible for the athletes to attend both meets. With small groups at both meets the Clippers still managed to swim big.

Sectionals

With only a handful of participants competing in the meet it was very difficult for the swimmers to have that team championship feel. “Most swimmers were trying to accomplish individual goals at this meet, many did but the athletes did mention it is harder without a big team presence”, explained Coach Roberts. “I give these kids a lot of props for swimming hard and staying focused.”

Congratulations to all of the swimmers who participated. As a team we swam over 60% best swims including final swims by Chris Weinstein, Abby Shoyat, Jake Lentsch and Will Mcmurtry.

Senior Meet

Sixteen Clippers paraded into Gambier, Ohio for the 2013 Senior Championships. This group had an amazing time at the meet and swam GREAT!!! “This group really supported one another and had a blast together”, explained Coach Marcie, “ Having fun is a big part of swimming fast”.

We had countless lifetime best swims and in many cases swimmers competed in finals for the first time at this level of swimming. With only 16 swimmers we still managed to finish top 10 in scoring as a team. Way to go Clippers on a great championship meet.
