NE Swimming Partners

NE Swimmers are tearing up the record book this season, and earning a Record Breaker Swim Cap! Recent Record Breakers are listed below:

At the 13-19 Age Group Championships, held at Harvard University:

Colleen O'Neil (WW) broke the 15-18 and Open NE Records in the 100 breast. Her time of 1:11.18 broke the records of 1:12.03 set by Laura Sogar (ABF) in 2007. Congratulations Colleen!

The WW 15-18 400 Medley relay of Haylee Knight, Colleen O'Neil, Virginia Burns and Julia Klier swam a time of 4:24.61 breaking the old NE record of 4:26.63 set by L. Herold, L.Repetto, D.Palmer and M.Labrie back in 1991. Congrats to WW!!

Max Miranda (ABF) broke the 13-14 RES record in the 100 free. His time of 54.91 broke the record of 55.10 set by Liam Egan (CRIM) in 2010.  Max also broke his own 13-14 NE and RES records in the 100 fly. His time of 58.78 surpassed his old record of 59.45 set at Seniors.  Finally, Max swam a time of 2:12.34 in the 200IM breaking the NE record of 2:14.47 held by Kevin Yamada (SAC) since 2003! Great job Max!

Auston Ramsey (SSYS) broke the NE record in the 13-14 200 back with a time of 2:12.50 breaking the record of 2:12.72 set by Robert Owen (CRIM) in 2010.  Congratulations Auston!!

Christian Carbone (CRIM) set new RES Open records in the 200 and 400 IM.  His time of 2:05.76 upset the record of 2:06.05 held by Nick D'Innocenzo (MAG) since 2008 and his swim of 4:28.61 bettered the time of 4:33.53 swum by Ray Carey (BGSC) in 1989. Congratulations Christian!

At Junior Nationals,

the ABF 800 free relay of Brooke Zeiger, Elizabeth Zeiger, Lilly Vivado and Emily McQuaid broke the RES record of 8:30.11 held by W.Brown, J.Lapinsky, L.Bushnell and K.Kalbko (BGSC) since 1996 with a new time of 8:24.05! Congratulations ABF!!

The ABF 15-18 400 medley relay of Connor Green, Joshua Zimmt, Anthony Marcantonio and Grant Casey broke the RES record of 3:57.14 held by S. Hawkins, K.Stockton, C. Haberstroh and A. Kurmakov (MBM) with a new time of 3:55.20. Congratulations ABF!
