USA Men Open UANA Youth Pan American Championships With 11-7 Defeat Of Canada
Kent Inoue scores four goals in the victory
 
Buenos Aires, Argentina - August 25 - The USA Men topped Canada 11-7 to open play at the UANA Youth Pan American Championship. Kent Inoue scored four goals and Dominick Beaudine stopped seven shots in the victory. Team USA is back in action tomorrow with two games when they meet Uruguay and Argentina. The United States was in control early on, leading 3-0 after the first period and 5-0 at halftime. They lead 9-3 after the third period and then were able to hold off a small rally from Canada to take the match 11-7. Team USA went 5/7 on power plays. "It was a good start to the tournament for the team. We came out and executed well early and that was the difference in the game," said USA Head Coach Zac Koerner. "A lot of the boys got their first taste of international competition and we look forward to working hard to improve as the tournament continues."
