Dear Swimmers and
Parents,
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! We have
96 VJO swimmers entered in our September Meet. The meet is
unfortunately now closed for entries. Although we are very excited
to have so many swimmers attending Coach Tuffy’s last meet
before he retires.
Saturday Morning
Practice – Sat Sept 7th
This Saturday Sept 7th Coach Jennifer and Coach Sam
will be holding a Special Freestyle Clinic from 9-11am. We
will start the clinic with a 45 min freestyle video in the portable
buildings and then we will move to the pool to learn new drills and
better our technique. Swimmers in all groups are welcome to
join us for this special morning.
2013 Awards Banquet
– Sat Sept 14th
The 2012 VJO Awards Banquet will be held
on Saturday September
14th from 5:00-9:00pm at the SPSV
Cafeteria. The Awards Banquet is semi-formal, so
please dress up. We ask that you arrive at 5:00pm, we will
start eating around 5:20, and the Awards will start around 5:45pm.
Dinner will be pot-luck style, so please bring a dish to
share. The SPSV (St. Patrick St. Vincent High School)
Cafeteria is located at 1500 Benicia
Rd. Vallejo, CA 94591. Flyers with
potluck info will be placed in family file folders soon.

Membership Meeting – Tuesday Sept
17th
On Tuesday September 17th from 6:00-7:15pm we will
be holding our Fall General Membership Meeting. The meeting will be
held in the portable buildings next to the pool. We will be going
over the 2013 Fall Schedule, discussing expectations, and voting.
We will also be taking time at the end to go over important new
swimmer/parent information.
