“IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ! Hello to all Neptune families:
Welcome to the 2013-2014 swim season. On behalf of me, the person responsible for posting any additional reported volunteer hours and Maggie Brickner, the team bookkeeper, I would like to start the season by reminding everyone of the 30-day reporting policy for your 24 hour volunteer obligation. When you sign up online for any Neptune volunteer job it is your responsibility to make sure you check in with the proper parties AND that you confirm that the hours have posted correctly with-in the 30-day window. DO NOT rely on the coach or anyone else to report your hours. If you make a corporate donation in lieu of your service hours you need to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org AND email@example.com to make sure your volunteer hours are credited properly….again your responsibility to confirm the accuracy within 30-days of the contribution. Should you find any errors or missing hours, you must report within 30-days of the event in order to receive credit.
Example: Swimmers participated Saturday, Sept 7, 2013 @ St Helena meet – Family timed for 6 hours….This is an ACTUAL example, parents reported via smart phone before 7:00 pm THE SAME DAY! Thank you very much.
For anyone unfamiliar with how to check your hours, the following is how to check your hours. Log on the team website and then go to "My Account". Once you are there, click on "$My Invoices/Payments" and go to the "Service Hours" tab. Hope this helps. Please only report missing hours in the following format: “Fall Classic Swim Meet/Sept. 22, 2012/Timing/2.5 hours – Swimmer’s name”.
We will notify everyone when meets are closed and the coaching staff has posted the online volunteers hours please remember to check after that for accuracy.
Thank you all for your assistance and support of the swimmers and coaches.
