BBST stellar in season debut

Bellingham Bay Swim Team (BBST) started the season with an impressive display of swimming at the October Challenge Swim Meet (October 18-19). The meet was a huge success for the swimmers who attended.  BBST had 101 swimmers participate in the meet. There were some fantastic swims from all groups.  It was exciting to see the team spirit and enthusiasm.  The best part of the meet, however, was the amount of effort put forth by each swimmer.  It was easy to see that everyone was trying their best.  Way to go, BBST swimmers!  Ohh…and it was a lot of fun, too.

Congratulations to the swimmers who participated in their first BBST meet ever: Makenna Fowler, Andrew Lambert, Patrick Miksovsky, Emme McNabb, Raegan Meggyesy, Rebekah Oviatt, Ashley Parks, Sydney Terrell, Logan Deboo, Dalton Hawley, Rudi Berry , Kleigh Koupal, Kyler Southcott, Peter Swan, Madison Berghof, Savannah Ferron, and Taryn Frey.  Some of these swimmers competed in summer league meets, but this is their first ‘official’ USA Swimming meet.  Way to go, BBST swimmers!

BBST achieved 142 PNS Championship qualifying times by 33 different swimmers (are you kidding me?...140???), 10 PNS Championship qualifying relays, 38 Sectional times, and 37 BBST Top 5 (All-Time) times.
