GOAL Swimmers Have Great 1st Day in Minneapolis

If being at 100% lifetime best times as a team defines a great day, then GOAL did just that up in Minneapolis today at the Arena Grand Prix Meet at the University of Minnesota.  Swimming against a slew of olympians and professional swimmers, GOAL held their own very nicely!  Here's a summary of how they did, with a final placing if they swam in the evening finals:

Elizabeth Amato-Hanner - 200 free 1:51.57 new GOAL record  28th place  dropped 1.59.;  400 IM  4:25.32 new GOAL record  13th place  dropped 9.02

Dana Posthuma - 200 free 1:58.33  dropped 2.89;  100 fly 57.05 new GOAL record  23rd place  dropped 0.77

RJ Hemmingsen - 200 free 1:45.07  dropped 1.56;  100 fly 48.89 15th place  dropped 1.36;  400 Free Relay 3:03.73   4th place  new GOAL and MW record  split 45.43

Jacob Molacek - 100 breast 53.93 (prelims), 54.12 finals  7th place  dropped1.12;  400 Free Relay 3:03.73   4th place  new GOAL and MW record  split 43.86 in leadoff leg (new GOAL and MW record for 100 free)

Michael Mollak - 200 free 1:42.18 dropped 0.45;  100 breast 59.54 dropped 0.37; 400 Free Relay 3:03.73 4th place  new GOAL and MW record  split 46.38

Collin Piti - 200 free 1:50.00  dropped 1.89;  100 fly 57.06 dropped 3.37;  400 Free Relay 3:03.73 4th place  new GOAL and MW record  split 48.06
