Six Team Records at Junior Nationals!

Three FAST swimmers traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Winter Junior National Championships last week.  All three swimmers returned to California with lifetime bests.  Each of them also set two FAST team records!  Complete meet results can be viewed here.  FAST results are detailed below.

Jerad Kaskawal dropped over 3 seconds in the 500 Freestyle turning in a lifetime best 4:28.68 to take 28th place overall.  He followed it up with a best time in the 1,650 Freestyle on Saturday.  His time of 15:22.71 was a best by 8 seconds and broke the team record which he set in November.  Jerad's split of 9:12.01 at the 1,000 was also a lifetime best and team record.  Jerad finished 10th overall in the event!  Congratulations, Jerad!
Simon Lamar swam a time trial of the 500 Freestyle on Thursday posting a 4-second drop for a final time of 4:40.22.  He dropped 2 seconds in his 1,650 Freestyle breaking his own team record with a time of 15:51.13.  His split of 9:32.75 at the 1,000 was also a lifetime best and team record by 3 seconds.
Ganem Tebet posted a season best time in the 100-yard Breaststroke.  His time of 58.88 set a new team record.  The previous record of 59.11 was set by former FAST coach Richard Caldwell in March 2001.  Ganem's 200-yard Breaststroke was a lifetime best 2:05.24.  This also set a new team record.  The previous record of 2:06.08 was set by Richard Caldwell in February 2003.
