DR MEET AND LITTLE ELVES MEET WRAP-UPS

We had 43 Manta Ray swimmers participate in the Dayton Raider hosted Jarnagin Memorial meet in mid November.

Between event improvement and our swimmers competing in the event for the first time, we had 117 lifetime best swims.

Taylor Bacher had four first place finishes – 200FR, 25FL, 25BR, 50FR – and she is only six! And Olivia Porter achieved a new JO standard in her third place finish in the 50 freestyle, so we’ll be seeing her in Columbus this March.

Other top eight performances included Jonathon Luo, 6th in the 200IM; Camille Nguyen, 3rd in the 500 freestyle, Lauren Nguyen, 7th in the 200IM, Megan Schoenlein, 6th in the 200IM and 8th in the 200 freestyle; Michael Zuo, 4th in the 200IM and 6th in the 200 freestyle.

On December 8th, the 8 & under Manta Rays traveled up to Miami University to participate in the MAKOS Little Elves Meet. We had 22 swimmers participate in the event with a total of 65 swims from our athletes.

Event winners included Landon Schehr – 100IM, 25FR, 25BR, 25FL and Emily Zhang – 100IM and 50BR.

Other top eight performances came from Oliver Gao (25FR, 7th; 25BK, 5th), Bianca Jha (50FL, 6th), Jonathan Luo (25BK, 3rd), Beckham Najem (100IM, 5th), Vivian Naylor (50FL, 5th), Megan Schoenlein (50BR, 3rd; 50BK, 6th), and Sophie Wang (25BK, 7th; 50BK, 7th).

The Manta Rays took home the team title for both the girl’s and boy’s.

GREAT JOB RAYS!
