Fantastic Red/White Championships!
FAST hosted the second annual Red/White Championships in Fullerton last weekend.  It was a great meet for our swimmers highlighted by 258 lifetime best times, 6 summer JO cuts, and 16 new Blue times!  It was the first USA Swimming meet for Kayla Han, Enoch Lai, Victoria Lashlee, and Emily Molendyk.  Congratulations, swimmers!  Complete results from the meet can be viewed here.

Aiden Arciga, Catherine Campbell, Kailee Chow, Celine Dong, Peyton Graham, Tyler Hong, Lauren Kim, Huy Le, Jade Lingasin, John Mai, Julie Mai, Kevin Poma, Daniel Shi, Megan Shin, Preston Shin, Joshua Spessert, Jared Spuur, Chris Tsai, Baron Yang, and Kaylin Zuniga swam best times in all of their races.

Alexis Bauer had great drops in the 100 Free (3 seconds), 200 Free (5 seconds), 500 Free (12 seconds), and 400 IM (6 seconds) achieving Blue times in each.  Angela Gaitatjis also achieved Blue times in the 200 and 500 Free with an impressive 18.5-second drop in the latter.  Lauren Kim had a big Breaststroke weekend posting Blue times in the 50 and 200.  Lauren earned 1st place in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast with her time of 40.67.  Jade Lingasin dropped an incredible 36 seconds in the 1,000 Freestyle touching in 12:43.16, a new Blue time.  Jade also achieved a Blue time in the 200 Fly.  Joshua Spessert had great 200s posting Blue times in both the 200 Back and 200 Free.  Joshua dropped over 15 seconds in the 200 Back.  Cera Mallory achieved a Blue time in the 50 Free posting a lifetime best 38.19, a drop of almost 3 seconds.  Natalie McIlveen cut over 10 seconds off in the 200 IM touching in a Blue time of 3:02.43.  Teammates Joy Lim and Tori Torries both achieved Blue times in the 200 Free with times of 2:40.93 and 2:41.20, respectively.
Three swimmers achieved qualifying times for the Summer Junior Olympic meet.  Congratulations to Kailee Chow (100 Fly), Preston Shin (50 Breast and 100 Breast), and Baron Yang (100 Free, 50 Back, and 100 Back).
Twenty swimmers were event champions in the Red division: Alexis Bauer (500 Free, 400 IM), Angela Gaitatjis (500 Free), Sophia Gaitatjis (200 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Back), Trevor Holtgrew (1,000 Free), Lauren Kim (50 Breast), David Konefsky (100 Breast), Alex Kowalski (50 Free), Huy Le (100 IM, 50 Back), Joy Lim (100 Breast, 50 Breast), Jade Lingasin (1,000 Free), Johanna Lingasin (1,650 Free), Cera Mallory (50 Free), Natalie McIlveen (200 IM), Stephanie Offner (100 Free), Rebecca Radillo (1,000 Free), Preston Shin (100 Breast, 50 Breast), Rachel Soong (50 Back), Joshua Spessert (200 Back), Tori Torres (200 Free, 50 Free), and Baron Yang (50 Back, 100 Free, 100 Back).

Twelve more swimmers won individual events in the White division: Kailee Chow (100 Fly), Avery Darling (200 Free), Celine Dong (50 Free), Ryan Friedman (500 Free), Alex Kowalski (200 Free), Victoria Lashlee (100 Breast), Huy Le (25 Back), Andrew Salladin (100 IM), Jasmine Spuur (200 Free), Chris Tsai (100 Breast), Aaron Yang (200 IM), and Baron Yang (100 Fly).
