In the last legislative session, the Tennessee Sports Concussion Law was passed. This law requires all coaches, athletes, and parents to be made aware of the signs, symptoms, and care of concussions. Not only that, but it requires that annually:
1. all coaches take an on-line test and sign a form indicating that they have knowledge and understanding
2. all parents and athletes sign a form indicating they, too, have been informed about concussions and procedures
3. all clubs develop procedures for dealing with head trauma and suspected concussion cases
4. all records be maintained for 3 years.
