2014 Lost Dutchman Invitational Results
Warm weather and fast water made for several exciting races over the President’s Day Weekend for the Desert Thunder senior swimmers!
The highlight of the meet came from 17 year old Alec Lezcano, as he broke four team records on his way to the overall high point award in the meet for the senior men’s division! Alec set new 17-18 and senior records for the men’s 100 freestyle (46.22) and the 200 backstroke (1:53.19). The 100 free being one of the oldest on the books set back in 2000. Overall Alec scored 56 points with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyles, and the 100 and 200 backstrokes.
Marina McInelly broke three new team records in the 13-14 girls 200 butterfly (2:12.68), and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.49), which also broke the senior women’s division 200 breast record. Her time in the 200 breaststroke was fast enough to give Marina her first ever Spring Junior Championship qualification held in Orlando Florida each year. Marina won three events on her way to 4th place high point in the 50 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM.
