This week, we had more fantastic swims… the ‘do over’ meet Thursday against Hallowell went extremely well with lots of fast times, 111 out of 209 swims to be exact. Hallowell (a truly deserving Division A Team) provided a lot of competition and in the end were too much to overcome.
There were truly ‘fireworks’ in the pool on Saturday morning… the Damascus Dolphins exploded up and down the pool and had an impressive win over Regency Estates. The team spirit was palpable (Sorry 10 & Unders… this means: so intense as to be almost able to feel the excitement and team spirit). Coach Casey wanted to bottle-up the Regency water and bring it to Damascus because he thought the Regency water was making us swim so fast (I hope so, we will be there again next Sunday, July 12th for the A-Relay Carnival). We were finishing hard, reaching and getting many of the close races. Overall, I think the Regency meet was one of the best meets I have ever witnessed in my 15 years as a coach… I am so proud of you Dolphins… Keep up the GREAT swimming!
