Congratulations to all of the 62 GOAL swimmers who competed at the Nebraska State High School Swimming Championships this past weekend at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, NE. Thirty GOAL swimmers also accounted for 74 medals won at the meet on Saturday (That is 23% of all swimming medals awarded!). A highlight of the meet came on Friday when in the boys preliminaries, Senior-National grouper Jacob Molacek became the first U.S. swimmer to break 53 seconds in the 100 yard breaststroke in high school competition. His 52.92 is currently ranked #1 nationally for all 18 & unders. Here is a video clip of the swim (updated with sound) as posted on swimswam.com.
