More records fall on day 3!

The times have continued to drop at 12 & Unders.  Starting with the 200 free relay the 11-12 girls (Eliana Fleischer, Sutton Corzatt, Chloe Couture and Emily Metivier) combined for a 1:58.13.  In the boys side Thomas, Tony, Andrew and Max posted a 1:45.76 which placed them third and broke the EST record!

In the 500 free Andrew dropped almost 15 seconds to finish 3rd in 5:36.90, for the 12 year olds Thomas Choquette posted a 5:30.00 which earned him 11th.  Thomas was less than ½ a second off the team record which has stood since 1988.

The boys 100 free had a trio of great swims; Tony finished 13th in 57.45, Thomas finished 12th in 57.25 and Andrew finished 3rd in 56.84.  That time just clipped the team record set by Keith Getchell in 1988!

EST was well represented in the 50 Breast with Emily (4th – 33.95), Max (4th – 34.52), Tony (8th – 33.60) and Thomas (13th – 34.66) all posting best times and scoring bog points for the team.

The second record of the day was broken in the 100 back where Emily took down Linnea Lemerise’s record from 2009 with a 1:04.88.  On the boys side, Max placed 4th overall with a 1:08.08.  In the very next event Max swam the 200 IM and finished 3rd in 2:27.15

Saturday’s 9-10 session started off with an 18th place finish the girls 400 free relay.  Elizabeth Bencze, Brydie Olofson, Megan Metivier and Megan Reich swam a 5:01.09 which cut over 10 seconds off their seed time.

On the individual side, Brydie dropped another second in her 100 breast to finish at 1:37.20.  Megan Reich dropped 2 seconds in her 100 back to finish 7th overall in 1:19.41 and Brady dropped 3 seconds in his 100 IM which earned him 17th in 1:17.78.
