In the last day of action the 9-10 age group the girls 200 free relay Megan Reich, Julia Wagner, Megan Metivier and Elizabeth Bencze posted a 2:10.69 which placed them 16th overall.
Brady Dixon lead the way in the 50 back by dropping 2 seconds and moving up into scoring position with a 35.55. On the girls side Megan Reich finished 12 with a 36.90 which was also a drop of almost 2 seconds. Not to be outdone Brydie Olofson dropped 3 seconds in her 50 breast to move all the way up to 10th place with a 42.38
In the 1650 both Andrew and Thomas went way under the old record with Thomas pulling out the team record in 19:04.86 (6th) This was over a minute drop from the previous record! In the 11 year old division Andrew posted an impressive 19:29.61 for 3rd, that swim was: 40 seconds under the previous record.
Andrew Benson won his second event and posted a new team record in the 200 free with a 2:01.68. In the 12 yr old division Thomas also posted a best time with a 2:03.44 which earned him 12th. In the 50 back Max finished 5th in 31.97 which was just off his prelims time of 31.52.
Emily Metivier lead the way in the girls breaststroke, breaking Brittany Perkins record from 1993 with a 1:14.01. That swim placed her 9th overall. Max also placed 9th with a 1:18.15 and Tony finished 12th in 1:15.85. Tony followed up that swim with a best time and 9th place finish in the 50 fly (29.12).
The final event of the meet was the 100 IM and there were 4 swimmers who made it into the scoring. Max lead the way with a 6th place finish (1:09.51), Emily finished 11th in 1:06.23 which was also a team record! Andrew finished 11th 1:09.86 and Thomas finished 12th in 1:05.96.
Overall EST was 16th with 755 points which is a huge step up from last winter where we were 39th with 187 points. Great job EST swimmers!
