DCST Wins 9th Straight Northwest District Championship

DCST Wins 9th Straight Northwest District Championship

                DCST won its 9th straight Northwest District combined scoring championship by 2,151.5 points over second place Sage (McHenry).  In the boys division, DCST won its 10th straight title by a score of 2,807 to 1,295.5 over Sage (McHenry).  While in the girls division, DCST’s 640 point margin of victory over Sage (McHenry) was good for its 8th straight girls’ title.

        For the weekend, DCST had an excellent meet with 482 season best times out of 801 swims for an outstanding 60% improvement rate.  More importantly, DCST picked up 44 new State Times and 6 new National Times.  Moreover, 12 swims were a new event legally swum for the first time in a swimmer’s career.

Some highlights for the weekend were:

  • DCST Won 8 of the 10 Age Group Scoring Titles:  8 & Under Boys, 10 & Under Girls, 12 & Under Girls, 12 & Under Boys, 14 & Under Girls, 14 & Under Boys, 21 & Under Girls and 21 & Under Boys
  • Out of the 114 District Events, DCST won 54
  • Out of the 50 Jr. District Events, DCST won 11
  • DCST Set 29 New District Records
  • DCST Set 10 New Team Records
