Far Westerns:  Seventeen Junior Group qualifiers along with a couple of Sr group swimmers competed at the Speedo Far Western Championships last weekend in Morgan Hill.  OA finished 21st out out over 150 teams in the meet.  

Leading the way for Orinda Aquatics were Finalists: Max Cruz (age 12) with 7 out of 7 finals: 50 Fly 25.63 (3rd), 100 Fly 57.47 (3rd), 200 Fly 2:07.82 (4th), 50 Free 23.91 (4th), 100 Free 53.00 (4th), 200 Free 1:56.55 (4th) and 50 Back 28.15 (9th).  Megan Colp (age 13): 200 Breast 2:22.69 (6th), Kai Nashan (age 14): 100 Free 49.57 (8th) & Ashleen O'Brien (age 13): 100 Fly 58.07 (6th).

Shave Meet - Great Swims: Alec Baker (age 13) (7-7 best times): 100 Fly 55.95, 200 Fly 2:07.81, 100 Back 58.27, 200 Back 2:04.69, 200 IM 2:04.86 400 IM 3:25.43 & 200 Breast 2:24.10. Kai Nashan: 200 Free 1:51.37 & 50 Free 22.96).

Workout Schedules:

Senior Group - Regular High School Season Schedule (Friday: no AM, PM with High School) on Monday Tuesday & Thursday. Schedule Change for Wednesday: 4:30-6:15 For All Sr swimmers not at a meet. Saturday AM 7:15-10:00;no dryland.  Also at the PLS Sr II meet (LC).

Junior Group - No workouts this week - post SC season break. Regular workout resumes Monday April 14th.

Senior Group: PLS SR II Long Course, Pleasanton April 12 & 13.   This weekend - warm-ups at 7:30.

Enter Now: First Splash LC Meet hosted by Albany Armada @ Concord Community Pool, Concord,  April 26 & 27.   All Junior Group swimmers should enter - check under events tab for information on entering long course times.

Coming Soon: Ellis Aquatics CBA+, Tracy May 10&11. All Junior Group swimmers should enter this meet.

Jr Travel - reserve your room: Carson City Long Course Meet (Memorial Weekend), Carson City - May 23-25. Team Hotel is Marriott Carson City.  We have a block of rooms reserved at $109 plus tax.  Group Name is Orinda Aquatics. ph# 775.887.9900.  

Parent Timing Reminder:  At all away meets, all families entered in the meet must sign-up to time at least one shift per day that your swimmer is entered.

 
Become an Official/Stroke & Turn:  Tired of sitting around at meets?  Give back to the sport your kids love, support OA and all the swimmers in Pacific Swimming by becoming a Stroke & Turn official. Officiating has it rewards, reserved parking, hospitality and an opportunity to meet a great group of people.  Work only meets that your swimmers attend.
