Strong Showing and Two Team Records at La Mirada Senior Meet!
FAST swimmers posted 26 lifetime bests and two team records at the La Mirada Senior Meet last weekend.  Team highlights are listed below.  Complete results from the meet can be viewed here.
Ryan Cavanagh dropped over 3 seconds in the 200 Free for a lifetime best 2:14.11.  His split of 1:05.10 at the first 100 was also a lifetime best.  Ryan also swam a best time of 4:43.92 taking out the 800 Free.
Makena Ditsworth swam best times in all of her races improving in the 200 Fly (2:33.23), 200 Free (2:20.06), 400 Free (4:50.06), 100 Fly (1:11.66), and 100 Free (1:06.17).  Her time in the 200 Fly set a new FAST Team Record for 11-12 Girls.  The previous record of 2:33.78 was set by Bethany Dong in January 2004.

Andres Frausto improved in the 100 Fly (1:02.04) and 200 IM (2:21.11).  His drop in the 100 Fly was just less than 1 second and his drop in the 200 IM was an improvement of almost 4 seconds.

Elise Garcia raced to 8th place in the 800 Free and posted a lifetime best 9:20.96, a 5-second improvement.  Elise also raced in the Finals of the 50 Free and 100 Free turning in very strong early season times including a second-best time of 59.65 in the 100 Free.

Maddie Garcia also posted a lifetime best in the 800 Free, dropping to 9:44.93 which was a 4-second improvement.  She also dropped over 7 seconds in the 400 Free with a lifetime best 4:49.39.
Isabella Kearns had a great 200 Fly racing to a second place finish in Finals.  She dropped just under 2 seconds and posted a lifetime best 2:18.33.  Her time set a new FAST Team Record for 15-18 Girls!  The previous record of 2:19.49 was set by Lacey Buck in July 2006.
Bella Osuna dropped almost 2 seconds in the 100 Back, improving to 1:16.63.

Cathryn Salladin had a huge drop of 21 seconds in the 800 Free.  She improved to 9:21.39 and finished 9th place overall.  Her split time of 4:38.41 at the 400 mark was also a lifetime best.  Cathryn posted three more lifetime bests in the 200 IM (2:36.21), 100 Free (1:05.37), and 400 IM (5:28.68).
Courtney Tseng swam four best times, improving in the 800 Free (9:34.73), 200 Free (2:13.16), 200 IM (2:32.35), and 400 Free (4:38.51).  Courtney earned a second swim in the 400 Free and finished in 16th place overall.
