Four Team Records and 76% Best Times at Blue Meet!
FAST swimmers posted 208 lifetime bests at the MVN Blue Meet last weekend for an overall 76% best times!  Forty-eight of our 51 swimmers returned home with at least one best time and four team records were broken.  FAST highlights are listed below.  Complete results can be viewed here.
Nineteen swimmers achieved lifetime bests in all of their events.  Congratulations to Ryan Cavanagh, Nathan Chang, Kailee Chow, Ethan Dickinson, Peyton Graham, Maya Lee, Robert Lee, Jacqueline Lim, Jonathan Lim, Cera Mallory, Natalie McIlveen, Manon Miura, Bella Osuna, Lilian Pendergrass, Joshua Spessert, Jasmine Spuur, Tori Torres, Myles Tran, and Aaron Yang!
Ryan Friedman set a new FAST team record in the 8 & Under Boys 100-meter Breaststroke.  His time of 1:58.73 surpassed the previous record of 1:59.17 set by Alejandro Buendia in April 2013.  Ryan also broke the 8 & Under Boys 200-meter Individual Medley record.  His time of 3:23.47 was almost 20 seconds faster than the previous team record of 3:42.65 set by Skyler Kao in April 2013.  Congratulations, Ryan!
Alex Kowalski set a new FAST team record in the 8 & Under Boys 100-meter Freestyle.  His time of 1:17.29 broke the previous record of 1:17.71 set by Calvin Rogers in August 2004.  Alex also set a new team record in the 8 & Under Boys 50-meter Breaststroke touching in 51.91.  The previous record of 52.40 was set by Calvin Rogers in May 2004.  Congratulations, Alex!

Tremendous drops of 10 seconds or more were turned in by Ryan Cavanagh (11+ in 200 Back), Katie Cho (12+ in 400 Free), Ethan Dickinson (17+ in 200 Fly, 19+ in 400 IM), Hannah Frey (16+ in 200 IM), Elizabeth Harita (13+ in 400 Free), Maya Lee (34 in 800 Free), Robert Lee (14+ in 100 Free, 13+ in 200 Breast, 26+ in 200 Free), Natalie McIlveen (29 in 200 IM), Manon Miura (21+ in 400 IM), Tori Torres (15+ in 200 Free), Myles Tran (13+ in 100 Back, 28+ in 200 IM), Aaron Yang (27+ in 200 Free, 13+ in 50 Fly), Baron Yang (10+ in 100 Breast, 28+ in 200 IM), and Kaitlyn Yee (26+ in 400 Free).
