DCST Looks for 9th Consecutive Conference Title

DCST Looks for 9th Consecutive Conference Title

DCST is looking to win its 9th consecutive NCISC Conference Title on Saturday. A victory would also be DCST’s 15th in the last 17 years. On paper, Oswego and McHenry look to be DCST’s biggest competitors. The coaching staff wants to challenge the swimmers to see if they can top last year’s point total of 2,131 points.
Warm-ups for DCST are as follows:
6:15 AM – Bull Dog and National Practice Groups
6:45 AM – Terrier, Golden Retriever, Greyhound, Husky, St. Bernard, Lab and Great Dane Practice Groups
8:30 AM – Meet Begins
We do have a lot of swimmers attending this year’s meet. There are going to be over 740 swimmers. This is 120 more swimmers than we had one year ago. Obviously, the increased number of swimmers will also make the meet run a little longer. We expect the meet to finish around 5:15 PM. Due to the long day, swimmers are reminder to make sure they eat and drink throughout the day. Our team area on Saturday will be the racquetball courts. There will be a bullpen for all age groups.
Each swimmer should have received a new team cap in their file folders on Thursday. If you are going to wear a cap during the meet, please make sure it is a team cap. Furthermore, swimmers are reminded or the team policy of wearing a team suit or a black suit during the meet.
We still have a few open worker slots. If parents have not already signed up to work, then please log onto the website and signup.
                Good Luck and Swim FAST!
