Day 1 of Central Zone Championships

After making it back in finals in all 6 races last week Julia is at it again this weekend at the Central Zone 14 & Under Championships in Geneva, Ohio. One day one Julia swam the 200 free and 100 fly in prelims.  In the 200 free Julia qualified 7 dropping 2.2 seconds for a time of 2:11.44 and then to top it off she qualified first in the 100 fly just like at state the previous weekend with a new best time of 1.04.57 .9 seconds faster then last weekend.  

In Finals Julia posted the 2 overall fastest 50 free split on 200 free relay with a time of 27.73 almost a whole second faster then her best time.  In the 200 free Julia managed pulled out another best time going 2:10.99 to finish in 6th place after a 7th place finish at the state meet last weekend.  To top the whole night off Julia held her first place position in the 100 fly and was the only girl to break 1:05.  her final time was 1:04.19 exactly .8 seconds away from qualifying for USA Winter Junior National Meet.  Not a bad day of swimming.  Tomorrow Julia competes in the 50 and 400 free along with the 200 medley relay and 400 Free relay.
