URGENT: UANA OWS in Cayman Islands: 34 National Federations Asked for Reply
"The Cayman Islands Amatuer Swimming Association (CIASA) has made extensive preparations and a significant investment in the success of the 2014 UANA Open Water Swimming Championships.  This is a country with a long association with Open Water Swimming and a place where your swimmers can expect optimal conditions on 7 Mile Beach.

Only 7 National Federations affiliated to UANA have advised CIASA of their intention to participate in the event.  I'm appealing to the 34 federations to contact Bailey Weathers as soon as possible to indicate their willingness to support this important event.

I encourage all UANA Federations to be represented at the 2014 UANA Open Water Swimming Championships to be held in the Cayman Islands in October.

With the cooperation of other National Federations willing to host future open water events, it will be our objective to offer our UANA OWS Championships in the year preceding the Pan American Games."

Denny Ryther, Chair
UANA Technical Open Water Committee

UANA Pan American Open Water Swimming Championships to be held the 24 - 26 of October, 2014.

CIASA faces another important deadline with the host hotel on Friday September the 13th

Please confirm your intentions to attend the 2014 Championships IMMEDIATELY.

Our organizing committee simply needs to know your intention to attend and the number of male and female athletes plus staff to assist with the planning for the hotel. This will not be your registration and no names are required.

Please email this information to:  technicaldirector@ciasa.ky

If you do not plan to send a delegation that would be helpful to know as well.

We urge All National Federations to reply with your intentions as soon as possible.

Thank you for your attention and your cooperation.

Bailey Weathers, Technical Director of Cayman Islands
