Greenwood Memorial swimmers Kamryn Steck (10),Megan Brown (12), James Allen (12), Sarah Robertson (14), Adrien Hosking (14), Kylie Mitchell (11), and Brandon Jinn (12) represented New England swimming at the recent Eastern Zone Swimming Championships at Penn State University. Kamryn dominated the 9-10 year olds with five 1st place finishes and one 5th place finish.  We are excited about Kamryn’s future after her tremendous showing at zone championships. Megan Brown showed she will be a force in the future with a new zone meet record in the 200 fly and also qualifying for Junior Nationals in this event along with 2 other 1st place finishes one 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes. James has made incredible drops throughout the LC season and proved to be a dominant force with three 1st places finishes two 2nd place finishes and one 3rd place finish.  In the exciting 200 fly  race James broke the New England Resident record to become the fastest 11-12 year old ever in New England. Adrien Hosking continued his success in the distance events gaining two 2nd place finishes two 3rd place one 8th place and one 11th place. Sarah Robertson in her 1st Zone Championships had 2 great swims for one 17th place and one 27th place finish. This was the best ever Zone championship performance that our swimmers at Greenwood have ever had resulting in a great future for our team.
