Weekly Update 9/22

Regular Workouts: Monday thru Saturday.

This Saturday - Senior group no workout @ Marin Sr Meet.  Junior Group - come and race - Pentathlon Challenge Saturday ( regular time 8:15-10:00)

Jr group dryland: Tuesday - Jr3 all; Jr2 8th grade. Thursday - Jr3 all; Jr2 7th grade.

Practice Equipment - all swimmers need to the follow equipment: Sr groupr - fins, paddles & snorkel; Jr 2/3 - fins & paddles; Jr 1 - fins.  

Personal Cap Oder forms - Orders due this Wednesday, Sept. 24th.

New Swimmer Registration:  New Swimmer that successfully completed the try-out/evaluation need to register.  Please bring your completed USA registration forms to the coaches.

Upcoming Meets:

Sr Group: Marin Pirates Senior Open Meet, Sat. Sept. 27: Warm-ups at 7:30.

Entry Deadline Wed. Team Hosted: Orinda Team Hosted CBA+ Meet, October 4&5, :  This is a team hosted meet and all swimmers should enter the meet.  

Enter Now: AIA CBA+, October 18&19, at the Soda Aquatic Center: All swimmers should enter. This meet could fill fast so don't wait to enter. 



Team Building Weekend: Thank you to Leslie Wright (Sr group) & Jean Follmer (Jr group) for organizing the team building activities this past weekend.  The kids had a great time.

Junior Group Bowling Update: In the girls vs boys, high average game, the boys averaged 57.04 crushing the girls average of 56.875 (it was a very close finish).  Needless to say, swimming seems to be a much better fit!  High scores to Amelia Vollmer - 98, Owen Wardy - 96 & Max Cruz 94.

Fall Escrip Announcement: Have you updated your escrip to include Orinda Aquatics? Escrip allows up to three participation groups for you to donate too.  If you have already updated and included Orinda Aquatics, thank you for your valuable support.

Parent Committee News: Orinda Aquatics is very fortunate to have such a dedicated parent community.  Thank you for enthusiastically signing up for jobs!  Since many hand make light work, we are adding some spots in various social events.  The goal is to see evey family's name on our Parent Committee.  Please contact Barb Weikert at with question and to sign up.

We are looking for Officials:  No experienced required, just a willingness to volunteer and an eagerness to learn. Officiating has it rewards, reserved parking, hospitality and an opportunity to meet a great group of people.  Work only meets that your swimmers attend.

Zone 2 requires each team to provide officials at meets.  We need new officials, especially within the Junior Group.  If this is an area of interest and you can provide help, contact Holly Taifer, she will get you started:
