HST Development Meet - Sunday, March 1st

19 Hurricanes competed in our latest Development Meet with great results! 

Congratulations to Antonio and Eoin who both swam under the 4:00 LMR standard in the 200m IM!  Antonio took off 26 seconds for a time of 3:55.30 and Eoin dropped 20 seconds with a time of 3:59.36!  Now both swimmers are eligible for LMR (Lower Mainland Region) swim meets! 

12 swimmers raced to 100% best times!  Great work Jasper C, Emma G, Sarah G, Meghan H, Emma L, Erika P, James R, Thomas R, Sophia S, Devin W, Eoin W and Ella W! 

Sarah G participated in her first swim meet! 

A few more highlights: 

Jasper C took off 10 seconds in his 25m Back time!

Talia O improved by 7 seconds in her 50m Backstroke!  

Devin W raced 14 seconds off of his 50m Free time!

Emma G dropped 13 seconds in her 200m IM and is now just 7 seconds away from her LMR time standard!

Ella W was 15 seconds faster in her 200m IM and is now within 8 seconds of her LMR time standard! 

A big thanks to all of the parents and older swimmers who helped the meet run so efficiently! 

The next competitions for swimmers in Discover 1 & 2 as well as Dream 1 will be the Whistler Pass Meet on Saturday, April 18th and our Hurricanes Development Meet on Sunday, May 31st!
