We had a spectacular end to our swim season this weekend. Three relays swam at All Star Relays. The 9-10 Mixed Free Relay of Sadie Hebert, Brandon Hebert, Dillon Dunathan and Carly Sebring was seeded 7th and finished 4th taking 2.5 seconds off their time. The 15-18 Girls Medley of Savannah Quade, Kate Zimmerman, Emily Mark and Courtney Betts was also seeded 7th and finished 5th matching their best time. Finally, the 9-10 Girls Medley Relay of Carly Sebring, Sophia Iorio, Sadie Hebert and Aly Gibson was seeded 6th and finished 3rd, dropping 2.6 seconds. So proud.
Today, at Individual All Stars, Sadie Hebert and Carly Sebring swam the 50 free and 25 butterfly, while Kate Zimmerman swam her final races as a Dolphin in the 100 IM and 100 Breast. Sadie was seeded 13th in the free and finished 10th, matching her best time and was seeded 6th in the fly and finished 3rd, with a best time and missing 2nd place by one one hundreth of a second. It was sooo close. Carly was seeded first in both events and won both events, breaking 30 in the 50 free with a 29.99 and a new team record. It was awesome.
Kate's final swims were best times and outstanding. She was seeded ninth in the IM and took 2 seconds off her time with a personal best and finishing 6th. In breaststroke she was seeded 5th and came in 2nd with a best time. What a way to end her swimming career with the Dolphins, she was a happy young woman.
I am a very proud coach. Relay All Star swimmers, your awards will be in the snack bar this week. Congratulation to all our Dolphins for a great season. I look forward to seeing you all next year.
