The team is conducting a cover design contest for the Robert J. Hogan Memorial Mini meet program.  All entries should be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, in black and white, and should include the meet name, the date (January 31 - February 1), and the artist's name somewhere on the design.  All entries are due to the REYNOLDS folder by THURSDAY.

Sign-up sheets have been posted on the bulletin board outside the locker rooms for the volunteer positions for the Robert J Hogan Memorial Mini meet.  Remember, we need EVERYONE'S help with this meet EVEN IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT SWIMMING IN THE MEET.  Those who do not fulfill the 2 session per family volunteer requirement will be assessed $75 on their next bill.  Please, we really want your HELP not your money!  It's lots of fun and a great way to meet members of the MAC family!

There is also a sign-up sheet for concession donations.  We will be accepting donations of food items OR cash donations to purchase items.  If you have any questions regarding the concession stand, please contact Terri Carder at

Information regarding ads for the mini meet program may be found here  These ads are not limited to businesses.  In the past, we have had families take out small ads to cheer on their swimmers.  You may even include a picture of your child, if you like.  A group of parents could even go in together to cheer on their entire group!  Regardless, it is an easy way to raise some money for our team and support your swimmers.  All ads (you may e-mail the ad to and fees are due to the WASHABAUGH folder by Wednesday, January 21st.

We are looking a donation of promotional pens or highlighters to accompany our program sales.  If you have a business or know someone who does that uses these items and would be willing to make a donation, please contact Deb Reynolds at  It's a great way to get the business name around the community!

Finally, we are looking for several LARGE coolers to be used to hold drinks at our concession stand.  If you have one you'd be willing to loan, please contact Terri Carder at

During the mini meet, our team will be hosting officials clincs between sessions.  Saturday's session is aimed at volunteers interested in becoming Stroke and Turn judges.  Our team has lost many of it's long time officials and we are in desparate need of volunteers to take their place.  After attending a clinic, volunteers are required to act as apprentice judges for 6 sessions prior to taking their exam.  This meet would give you the opportunity to work 3 of those sessions right away!  Other benefits of becoming a Stroke and Turn judge are great food provided by the host teams and one of the best seats in the house at meets - right down on the deck!  You can also write off your travel and meal expenses for meets as a tax deduction.  Please consider at least attending the session to see what the job is all about!

The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, and Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 all in the bubble.  Age Group I will swim in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Senior Prep, Novice, or Masters.  Saturday's practice schedule is also normal - Senior Red and Black from 6:45-9:00, Senior White and Age Group II from 9:00-10:30, and Novice from 10:30-11:30 all in the bubble.  Age Group I will swim in the indoor pool from 7:30-9:00.  Seniors will have morning practice on Monday from 5:15-6:30.

Best of luck to everyone competing in the MSC meet this weekend!
