September 20, 2008
This is the MAC News for Tuesday, September 30th.
Today is the due date for MAC payments. Payment in full, including the fundraising fee, is due today or families may make the first of three installments. The second installment is due October 15th and the third is due November 15th. All accounts must be kept current to insure swimmers' eligibility to swim at swim meets and at practice. You may drop your payment in the Dues folder in the file cabinet at Hood or mail it to Fred Manning (address is on your bill). If you have any questions or concerns about your bill, please contact Fred at email@example.com.
Two new meet notices have been posted on the bulletin board in the baby pool area. The CBAC Fall Warm-Up Meet ( www.mdswim.org/Top_Nav/Meets/2008-2009_Schedule_Results/Chesapeake_Bay_Aquatic_Club_Fall_Warm-Up_Meet.htm), will be conducted October 25-26, 2008, at St. Mary's College, in St. Mary's City. This meet is open to our swimmers who are 9 years old or older with entry times slower than "AA" time standards. All entries, along with a check to cover the fees (1 Day = $23 or 2 Days $43) are due to the meet entry folder by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 8th. The HARY Hurricane Harvest Festival Swim Meet ( www.mdswim.org/Top_Nav/Meets/2008-2009_Schedule_Results/HARY_Hurricane_Harvest_Festival_Swim_Meet.htm), will be conducted November 1-2, 2008, at the Magnolia Middle School, in Joppa, MD. This meet is open to our 10 & under swimmers. All entries, along with a check to cover the fees (1 Day = $18 or 2 Days $33), are also due to the meet entry folder by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 8th. If you have questions as to whether your child should attend either of these meets, please ask your child's coach.
MAC will be holding a Joe Corbi's pizza fundraiser to support the Frederick Rescue Mission. Order forms were distributed yesterday and will be distributed again today during practice. All orders will be due to the Fundraiser folder on or before Saturday, October 18th. Corbi's is offering prizes for anyone selling at least 11 products so feel free to sell as many or as little as you like. If you are not interested in selling door-to-door but you would like to support the cause, you may order pizza kits to be donated to the mission. More information will be posted on the bulletin board, available on the cover letter coming with the order form and will be emailed to each family. Questions should be directed to Cheryl Knapp at 240-394-0226 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
