A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the Welcome Back...

This is the MAC News for Monday, September 15th.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the Welcome Back pool party a big success.  A great time was had by everyone!

A revised meet notice for the RAC (Retriever Aquatic Club) Columbus Day Classic
to be held October 11-12, at UMBC, has been posted.  This meet is open to all of our 9-13 year old USA/Maryland Swimming registered swimmers who are not in our novice group.  Originally, MAC was planning to participate in this meet on Sunday only, but our coaching staff would now like for our 9-13 year olds who are in AG I and AG II to swim on both days of this meet.  All entries, along with a check to cover the fees ($23 for 1-day or $43 for 2 days), are due to the meet entry folder by 6:00 pm on Thursday.  If you have questions as to whether your swimmer should participate in this meet, please contact his or her coach.

The meet notice for the EST Quad meet to be held at the McDonogh School in Owings Mills on October 12th has been posted.  This meet is open to all swimmers in Senior White, Black, or Red.  There are no time standards for this meet.  All entries, along with a check for $19 are due to the meet entry folder by 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 27th.

Please be aware the bills for the first trimester have been e-mailed.  If you have not received a bill, it is because we do not have a valid e-mail address for you.  Those without a valid e-mail address will receive their bill by "snail" mail this week.  Due to the lateness of this mailing, payment is due September 30th for those wishing to pay in full.  If you wish to pay over 3 months, payments are due Sept. 30th, Oct. 15th, and Nov. 15th.  Your swimmer's birth date and current group assignment have been included on the bill.  Please verify this information and send any corrections to Fred Manning at  Any questions or issues regarding your bill, should also be directed to Fred.

Due to Fair Day and the bubble raising, Friday's practice schedule will be modified as follows.  Senior White will swim in the morning from 6:00-8:00 am and are asked to return in the evening to help with the bubble prep.  Senior Red and Black will swim from 4:00-5:00 PM and will be expected to stay to help with the bubble preparations until approximately 6:00.  Age Group I will swim in the indoor pool at their normal time, from 4:30-6:15, and Age Group II will have the day off.  There will be NO practice for any group on Saturday morning due to the bubble raising.

There are many tasks associated with the bubble raising that need to be completed prior to Saturday.  Anyone with time during the day or during your child's practice time this week who would like to help should contact Don Feinberg or Chris Kaplan at 301-696-3484.  IN ADDITION, WE NEED AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE (INCLUDING PARENTS) AT THE POOL FRIDAY EVENING BEGINNING AT 5:00 TO HELP PULL THE TARP AND BUBBLE ACROSS THE POOL!!!!  For more information regarding the bubble raising, click here -
